Shakespeare

Shakespeare's Sonnets: Not very elegant in looks, but treats Shakespeare's sonnes thoroughly, along with those of other Elizabethan poets. Good set of images, too.

Shakespeare's Sonnets: Commentaries, summaries, and recordings of each sonnet, at SwissEduc.

The Last Will & Testament of William Shakespeare: Transcribed, with a couple of images of his writing; at About.com

William Shakspere of Stratford: Also at About.com; complete set of documents referring to Shakespeare.

The Folger Shakespeare Library

The Internet Shakespeare: Complete texts of the plays. (University of Victoria)

ShakespeareHelp.com: Basically a set of links to resources on the most commonly studied plays. Some biographical information.

Shakespeare's Quartos at the British Library: The British Library has 93 copies of 21 plays printed in Quarto before 1642. You can look at photos of all of them, side-by-side, to get a sense of how the plays changed over time. Plus, it's just cool to look at books printed 400 years ago.

Mr. William Shakespeare and the Internet: Very thorough site on all things Shakespeare, by Terry Gray at Palomar Community College in San Marcos, CA.

The Authorship Question

The Shakespeare Oxford Society: The premier organization dedicated to proving that Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford wrote the plays.

Shakespeare by Another Name: Website of Mark Anderson's book by the same title, arguing that Shakespeare's works were written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford. Includes podcasts.

An Authorship Analysis: Francis Bacon as Shake-speare: Parent site of the preceding two, concerning the suggestion that Francis Bacon was the real author of the plays we know as Shakespeare's.

Mary Sidney: Site by Robin Williams who, in her book The Sweet Swan of Avon: Did a Woman Write Shakespeare?, suggests that Mary Sidney (sister of Philip Sidney) was the author of at least some of Shakespeare's works.
